Below are directions to most of the training sites. These directions were provided by the sites, so please contact us or the school itself if you need more information or directions from a different reference point. Participants familiar with the internet can also access fairly accurate directions from your home location by visiting www.mapquest.com, following their link to “driving directions” and entering the school's address.

From points North:
South on Route 1 to 2nd Dover exit, Rte 8. At bottom of exit, turn right and follow Rt 8 to intersection of Rt 13. Turn left onto Rt. 13 and immediately get into right lane. At TGI Friday's turn right onto Loockerman Street . Stay on Loockerman Street to first light. Make left onto Legislative Avenue. Go three blocks and make right onto Water Street . Haslet Armory will be directly on your right. To park, make a right onto Water Street and then an immediate right into the parking lot.

From points South:
North on Rt. 13 turn left at intersection of TGI Friday's/Burger King onto Loockerman Street. Stay on Loockerman Street to first light. Make left onto Legislative Avenue. Go three blocks and make right onto Water Street. Haslet Armory will be directly on your right. To park, make a right into the parking lot.

From points North:
Take Route 1 south to Dover exit #104 (north Dover ). Turn left onto Route 13 South. As you enter Dover , pass Delaware State University on the right, and then look for the Delaware Agriculture Museum on the right (just before a stop light). Bear right off Route 13 onto State Street extension. Cross Silver Lake. After the bridge, bear left onto State Street. The college is about a half-mile on the right. Turn right onto Fulton Street and park on the street or down the street in the Student Parking. The H.B DuPont College Center is on the right and is the largest on the block with a semi-circle driveway (large clock in front). Take the elevator to the second floor and proceed to Room 206 A and B.

From points South:
Just after Route 1 and Rt. 13 meet in Dover , get into the left lane to be able to turn onto Division Street . There will be a sign for Wesley College. Turn left onto Division Street. At the third light make a right onto State Street. The College will be on the left. Turn left onto Fulton Street and park on the street or down the street in the Student Parking. The H.B DuPont College Center is on the right and is the largest on the block with a semi-circle driveway (large clock in front). Take the elevator to the second floor and proceed to Room 206 A and B.

DIRECTIONS FROM WASHINGTON DC SOUTH OF BALTIMORE MARYLAND-VIRGINIA
Take Route 50 over the Bay Bridge. Stay on Route 301 North until you reach 302 East (sign will read TO DOVER). Turn right towards Barclay. Stay on Route 302 to Templeville. Turn right at Templeville onto Route 454 (changes to Route 8 in Delaware). Follow Route 8 into Dover. At the fork in the road (there is a convenience store) bear left onto Division Street. Follow Division Street to the light at State Street. Turn left onto State Street. The college will be on the left. FROM THE GREATER BALTIMORE MARYLAND AREA
Take 95 North to 896 South. Follow signs to Route 1 South to Dover. Take Route 1 South to exit #104. Turn left onto Route 13 South. As you enter Dover, pass Delaware State University on the right, then look for the Delaware Agricultural Museum on the right (just before the light). From points North:
South on Route 1 and exit at Route 8 West/Division St. Right at bottom of exit onto Route 8 West/Little Creek Rd. Go through traffic light and cross over Rt. 13 and continue onto Division St. through Dover and a series of lights. Division merges into Forest Ave just past railroad and car wash. Stay in left lane and turn left onto Saulsbury Rd. [Exxon gas station and Subway store on opposite corners]. Take Saulsbury Rd. to end and make right (route 15). Turn first right into industrial complex [Enterprise Business Park] then the first right and then the first left and you will see the building on the right. You will park and walk into the building from the side facing in toward the other buildings [not the loading dock side]. Look for signs for Science Center.

From points South:
North on Rt. 13 and turn left at intersection for Division St. Follow directions above from point of continuing on Division St.

From points North:

From points North:
From DE-1 South (Portions Toll) - Merge onto Scarborough Rd via EXIT 104 toward SR-8 ALT. / N. Dover / W. Dover Ind. Area. After 2 miles Scarborough Rd becomes DE-15. After 1.8 miles you should arrive at 104 Saulsbury Rd. Above the main entrance is the number, 104. Park in the back parking lot and come in through the entrance closest to the lot.  Go all the way down the hall and turn right.  When you get to the main corridor turn left.  Sign in at the Main Office window.  It will be on your left.

From points South:
From Rt. 1/Rt.113 going north: After the Dover AFB MAIN GATE entrance, take the first exit.  It is for Rt. 113 and Rt. 10.  Go straight.   Pass the Blue Hen Corporate Center.  You will see it on your right. Pass the Hardees.  It will also be on your right. Keep going straight and pass Target.  Again it will be on your right. Pass Loockerman St. (there is a light and a left turn next to TGIF). Get into the left lane after TGIF. Turn left onto Rt. 8/Division Street. Go straight through Dover.  Just on the other side of Dover there is a middle school/elementary school on your right.  Keep going straight.   When you get to Saulsbury Road make a right. There will be a gas station on the left and a Subway on the right.

The Academy of Dover is the 3rd or 4th building on the left.  It is one story.  Above the main entrance is the number, 104. Park in the back parking lot and come in through the entrance closest to the lot.  Go all the way down the hall and turn right.  When you get to the main corridor turn left.  Sign in at the Main Office window.  It will be on your left.

Take 896 south, crossing I-95 and State Road 40. About 3 miles south of State Road 40, you'll turn right onto Brennan Blvd. (this is the last stoplight on 896, just before the C & D Canal/Summit Bridge--if you cross the canal then you have gone too far.) The school is on Brennan Blvd. on the right about 1/4 mile from 896.

From the South:
1. Take 301/896 north from Middletown. Cross the C & D Canal (Summit Bridge). Take the first left after the bridge onto Brennan Blvd. (There is a stoplight at this intersection). The school is on the right about 1/4 mile from 896.

2. Take Route 1 north from Dover. Take the 896 exit (this is the next exit after the Middletown/Odessa, Road 299 exit), turn west (left) at the exit ramp light, and then cross Route 13. Drive about 3 miles and then turn right, continuing to follow 896 as it turns north. Cross the C & D Canal (Summit Bridge). Take the first left after the bridge onto Brennan Blvd. (there is a stoplight at this intersection). The school is on the right about 1/4 mile from 896.

You can park in either of the church parking lots across the street from our school or on the street itself. Do not park in the Happy Harry's parking lot as they may tow your car.

From Salisbury Rd turn left onto Walker Road at the the 3rd light (The Hamlet shopping center will be on your right.) Cross the railroad tracks and slow down. Turn right into the Fairview parking lot just after a small strip mall.

From points South:
Come up 13 N to the Towne Point light (K-Mart will be on your right). Get into the left lane and prepare to turn left at the Kirby and Holloway Family Restaurant onto Lepore Road. There is no light. Travel to the end of Lepore Road. Turn left at the light onto N. State Street. Pass Silver Lake and stay in the right lane. Turn onto Walker Road at the first light. Travel through two lights. The school is on your left just past the entrance to Dover High School.

From I-95 going North:
Take I-95 North to Exit 6 - Maryland Ave. Turn right at the bottom of the ramp onto Maryland Ave. Maryland Avenue will bend to the right at a light, turning into Martin Luther King Blvd.(You may want to be in the lane that is 3rd from the left.) Follow Martin Luther King for a quarter of a mile and then bear slightly to the left onto Walnut Street/U.S.13. Get immediately into the far right lane. At the first light, 4th street, turn right (There is a municipal building with a statute of "community helpers" in front). Proceed through 2 lights and turn at the next left onto Pine Street. Go down 3 blocks and there will be a fenced parking lot on your right. This is parking for Bancroft, which is diagonally across the street. You will be able to enter a side door about half way up the building, until 9:30. After that time, you will need to walk to the front of the building. If you enter through the side door, turn left and proceed down the hallway until you reach the office.

Take the Maryland Ave/Martin Luther King Pkwy exit off I-95. Travel to the 3rd light and turn right onto 2nd St. Go through approximately 5-7 lights until you reach S. duPont St. Turn left onto S. duPont St. Travel 3 blocks. Bayard will be on your left.

From Route 1 or I-95 heading North:
Take Rt. 1 to I-95 North. Take the Maryland Ave/Martin Luther King Pkwy exit off I-95. Go straight until you reach 2nd St. Turn left onto 2nd St. Go through approx. 5-7 lights until you reach S. duPont St. Turn left onto S. duPont St. Travel 3 blocks. Bayard will be on your left.

Parking: There are parking lots in both the front and back of the building. If these are full you will need to park on the street either in front or in back of the building.

From Baltimore/Washington Beltway:
Take US Route 50 East to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge where it will merge with US Route 301. Take US Route 301 to mile marker #102 where you will take a right hand turn onto US Route 302. Take US Route 302 to Templeville, MD where you will take a right hand turn onto MD Route 454. Travel MD Route 454 into Delaware where the road number will change to DE Route 8. Travel DE Route 8 into Dover and junction with DE Route 13 (duPont Highway). At the junction of DE Route 8 and Route 13, take a left hand turn. Continue North on Route 13 for approximately 5 miles (you will pass the Dover Mall on your right, Walmart/Sam's Club on your left). At this point you will need to be in the left hand lane. At the traffic light where Route 1 traffic enters onto Route 13, make a left hand turn. You will be on Scarborough Road and will see Delaware Technical and Community College on your right. The training will be in the Conference and Community Center (Room 400/AB).

From Philadelphia and points North:
Take interstate 95 South to the DE South Route 1 exit (Dover, Shorepoints). Travel South on Route 1 to exit #104 (North Dover, Convention Center). At the junction of the exit and DE Route 13, you will come to a traffic light. Go straight through the traffic light and across DE Route 13. You will be on New Scarborugh Road. You will see Delaware Technical and Community College on your right. The training will be in the Conference and Community Center (Room 400/AB).

From Points North:
Take Route 1 South to Exit 104 - Dover Downs. Go through traffic light and cross over Rt. 13 onto Scarborough Road. Go to next traffic light at Del Tech, Terry Campus. Go through traffic light and continue on Scarborough Road through approximately 3 traffic lights until you reach the intersection of Route 8. There will be a Subway on the left and a gas station on the right at the intersection, and across the road is a Kentucky Fried Chicken Restaurant. At this intersection turn left onto Rt. 8/Forest Street and stay in the right lane. Go through one traffic light. You will pass Booker T. Washington School on the left. Staying in the right lane, bear to the right at the split in the road, onto Loockerman Street. When you are South of Seaford and are in the Laurel Area, there are 4 lights from Rt. 13 into Laurel. Go through the 1st light, the Flea Market will be on the left. (South East side) Continue through the 2nd light, O’Neal’s Hardware and Mitchell’s Furniture will be on the right. At the 3rd light you will see Rt. 24 Carey's Getty on the right (South West side) Turn right. This is 24W and will take you into the town of Laurel. Continue on 24 to 1st light ­ bank of Left 2nd light, bank on right. Turn left (this is Central Avenue). You are now on the street to the district office. Continue South 3 or 4 blocks. Continue past the Laurel Middle School on your left. You will pass Food Rite on (L) Britt Rest. On Right, continue.
