2006 IC Effectiveness Study
Updates

This research is supported in part by a grant from the Institute for Education Sciences, U.S. Department of Education (R305F050051).

The IC Team Effectiveness Study is currently in the midst of collecting the second wave of data from the schools in Prince William County, VA. The process this year has been experienced as much more smooth than the initial efforts because of greater familiarity with the data collection methods.

The Teacher Report on Student Behavior is completed by teachers with a regular classroom. These teachers used the PW county intranet to access the student forms. This year, the data collection was completed in "waves", with subsets of schools given separate windows to finish the surveys. The overall completion rate by school averaged 96 percent. This is an incredible response rate which eclipses last years average.

The Teacher Self Report is being administered via the internet on "Survey Monkey". Teachers respond to a battery of questions regarding diverse topics such as their sense of efficacy, evaluations of the organizational focus, collaboration, institutional practices and job satisfacton. The response rate for this survey has been lower than expected but is on-going.
