Training and Implementing IC Teams

Look before you leap! Awareness is the first step in deciding whether IC Teams is an innovation that will support a school or district in meeting targeted goals. Awareness activities are designed to provide individuals an increased understanding of the critical components, training and commitments that are required to implement IC Teams. There are several activities that can be helpful.

  • Reviewing resources. The Lab for IC Teams lists on the website published resources that individuals can access through libraries and through purchase that provide descriptions and information about IC Teams, training, research, and implementation.

  • Attending scheduled awareness sessions and presentations on IC Teams. The Lab for IC Teams staff members frequently present and are invited speakers at various professional conferences and associations. For more information about these engagements, please visit our news page.

  • Hosting an awareness session. Lab for IC Teams staff members conduct (on a limited basis) half-day and one-day overview sessions designed to provide information on the basic aspects of the IC Team process. This is not a skill development activity and should not be confused with the decision to adopt or implement IC Teams.
